In Tameside there are two School Sports Partnerships (SSP's):

Astley SSP led by Partnership Development Manager, Frank Harrison
New Charter Academy SSP led by Partnership Development Manager, Emma Heap.
Both SSP's are based on school hub sites- Astley Sports College and New Charter Academy respectively.
Within each SSP is a team of School Sports Co-ordinators (SSCo's) and Primary Link Teachers (PLT's).
Astley SSP has 9 SSCo's and 38 PLT's and New Charter Academy SSP has 7 SSCo's and 34 PLT's (see below).
There is also a Competition Manager, Laura Cummings, who works across all schools in Tameside aiming to create, structured and aligned competitive opportunities for all pupils aged 5-19.
In addition, Amanda Clegg is Workforce Development Officer for Tameside SSP, ensuring that all teachers are offered High Quality CPD to raise standards in the delivery of PE and School Sport.
To support all activity, the SSP also has an Apprentice Sports Co-ordinator, Jack Hankey, who works on projects such as Bikeability, Tennis development, Competition support, curriculum and OSHL delivery and general admin tasks.
There are also two Further Education Sports Co-ordinators (FESCo's). Rob Morris is based at Hyde Clarendon/ Tameside College and Nigel Greenall is based at Ashton 6th form. The main element of their work is to ensure that pupils in Y12-13 can access sporting opportunities, whether that is leadership, competition, recreational activity or community sessions.
